1 week down 15 to go!

One week of school is done- or the classes are anyways. Now I just have the dreading homework. I have to say that I never thought I would have laughed so much on the first week of school, but I did. I have an awesome Block of girls to learn with.
Some highlights:

• Talking with one teacher and agreeing to make a 3 hr class at an elementary school a hybrid class!
• Making amends with previous teachers!
• At the elementary school my professor said, "The P.E. teacher is really cute and young!" Us: "When you say young do you mean young for you or for us and do you mean cute as in hott or cute as in nice/ gentleman?" Prof: "Young for me, but you'll see." P.E. teacher walks through the class and we all watch with staring eyes... Us: "yeah, he's not young or cute" Haha... he is for her and that's all that matters! lol!
• Old teacher humor!
• JIHGFEDCBA blast Off! (replacing letters for the numeral system for adding and subtracting! really difficult when you don't know your alphabet backwards!)
  
• When asked what math tools we would like to have in our classrooms to teach with one girl calmly said, "Calculator!" HAHA (Teacher was looking for the answer of paper, counters, t-tables, etc!)
• Sudoku!
• Geost foor phoon, phaloe thoo dats! Translation: Just for fun, follow the dots.
• Taking 3rd grade math standards aims test all over again! (epic fail!)
• Finding out if I have math anxiety- No doubt! I'm fearful about math!

Best part is I now can tell you that teaching is not just telling, it's showing. I was told today that my job is not going to get easier- dang it! lol but that's the joy of it! Keep your hands and feet inside at all times cuz it's going to be a bumpy ride with lots of laughs!

Beauty shop... or something

One last post. Since I cannot figure this blogging thing out I just decided to make a new post. :)
My friend came over the other day to play beauty shop as she calls it. I was just having fun and letting her get me ready for a dinner with high school friends I haven't seen in 4 years. Wow i'm getting old! It's really been that long since I thought I was on top of the world! Oh wait, I'm there again, Senior! YEAH! Dang it... what to do after Dec... if you have any ideas please share! Masters, or teaching (birth to 8th grade is what i'm aiming for) Or Nanny? is there a degree for that? anyone?
anywho. I totally made fun of the photo snapping portion of the afternoon cuz it's awkward and I was told not to laugh or talk or move. It was so much fun! Or in another photo, I had no upper body strength. I sorta stopped P90X. Yeah... I'd rather eat ice cream and feed the ducks!

Thanksgiving through New years!

Here is the next update for let's say the next semester or until I can figure out another break from school and life in general. Besides, I'm not too great at this blogging business, but if you get a Facebook page, add me. You can see all the pictures in the world! Plus you can hear how my mom called me liver the other day!
Thanksgiving rocked (my aunts took pics of that and I will not steal any pictures from them unless they let me and I have yet to ask), Christmas was cool. I stayed up all Christmas eve just to find out that Santa does not exist. My child heart is upset. :(tear) I got home at 7 am- just in time to wake everyone up! Tod was up and helped me. My niece, Caely was so mad that I woke her up. Haha! It was time I showed her Christmas morning. However, wanted nothing to do with presents, just the Christmas decorations that she could dance too. My mom has good taste as well. I will be wearing the same outfit every week- I just don't know what day yet. My aunts and uncles on the Ellsworth side tried to set me up with a guy that randomly walked in the wrong house. Yeah... ain't happening people! I can't make it any clearer!

It was a fun night! We danced, played video games, gambled on Deal or No Deal (that's our Vegas-haha! and shot hoops. May I just add that I love my height! I may be short, but my brothers taught me well! I can surely drive when it comes to video games. Haha!

School has begun and so has the fun!

Sorry for the delay in getting the pictures posted! I'm not into this blogging life, but I somehow had time between classes to update y'all. Basically I hung out with my best friends all summer, getting culture, started school, had a birthday, and have been going on awesome dates. I have "the" best friends. The night my best friends moved away, my best friend since middle school decorated my car for my birthday. Enjoy the pictures. They are out of order, but I only have a few minutes and I'm not blogger sabby! Fun is definantly part of my vocabulary!

PS. Ella is amazing! I had birthday wishes for a week cuz I am lazy and didn't wash my window until the following week. Haha

May '10

It's been way too long since I've been on here. I have been through so many events that it's been wonderful to say that my life is not boring. We'll some moments/ days can be, but overall, I have been blessed with unnatural circumstances in my book, a niece who keeps me laughing, a friend who keeps my hopes up, tiny trips to allow me to get away and yet return in time to go to work the next day, and brothers who encourage me to spend the night with them playing video games because at least we are spending time from 10pm to 2 am playing a game we all like.

I've given much thought over the last couple of days and have even talked to my cousin. Many do not know, but it doesn't matter now because it's over with. I had a colonoscopy (surgery for the colon/butt for those of you who don't know what that is) and well, it sucked! I won't lie. The surgery was great, but prepping for it was brutal and I will never, NEVER to it again. Not even when i'm 50/60/70, or the inbetween numbers. Brain surgery was nothing compared to what I had to go through for this. No wonder I had to have brain surgery! I was being prepared for something worse and boy, I know what that was now! However, I'm deeply afraid of what is instored for me next. If I had the choice to have brain surgrey or butt surgery again... I think I would have the prep for brain and the recovery of the butt. One from each end! It is best to avoid it, yes, but if you can't see if you can get the option of skipping the prep for the colonoscopy! It's a killer for your body! I'd share more, but it wasn't a pretty sight! :D

Before that, however, I did get to spend the majority of my month of May with my niece who is now saying "Where's Natalie?" I also got to play with Abby Garrett. It was a blast to have the two play together especially in the kiddie pool. I got videos of the two playing 'ring around the rosie' and showing the motions to a primary song and another song. I just don't know how to make a video work on here though. BUMMER. I'll see if Jen or Matt can put them on. I don't want to deprive you of pictures so here are the ones from my last trip to the Gila Valley Temple open house. Also, a picture of our family garden and some of Caely and I during my last school projects when I got to go to a school to work with 2nd graders!

see ya'll when June is done! I'll have many more pictures for that! Logan is leaving for his mission and Jaron is moving out! My parents will most likely move to the basement, which means crud, I can't sneak out and about! Just kidding! Adventures to come!

My friend's from high school are returning from their missions! AHH! Am I really this old already and not married? Awkward-- I didn't think it would come to this... someone set me up please! I'm just joking! Life is great when I take a step back and realize all the things that I have been able to accomplish. I'm starting to understand that maybe I'm suppose to get through school before something happens..wink wink. ya da ya da ya da. BUT if you know of someone let me know, cuz it was extremely hard to hear of all those engagements in the ward and to see those missionaries come home! Dang, 21 is old! Ah heck, I might as well spill all, my missionary friends are cute! Don't you think so? Okay so maybe just Devin:)
